It Is Time To Go Back To Rockville...

• First off, we know some folks will be unable to attend thanks to conflicts or the economy. We have some ideas on how you can participate anyway. More details on this are forthcoming.
• For those of you who can attend, now is the time to let us know officially if you are coming to the Meetup. We are starting to put plans together that will need a headcount before the convention. To let us know you are coming, send an email to illya@bomb-shelter-radio.com with the subject line "Meetup 2011 Registration". In the email include the following information:
1. Name (include your real name and any nickname we know you as)

2. Your nickname will be published on this web page to let people know you are coming unless you tell us NOT to.

• Registrations should be emailed in on or before August 31st, 2011 
• Polite Reminder: All attendees of the Meetup should register for Intervention 2011.
• BSR Badge
• All folks attending the meetup will receive a special BSR badge
• Other folks from BSR will be able to recognize you easily from a distance and flee if needed
• Admission to the party/broadcast on Saturday night.
• The badge does not allow you to attend Intervention events. You need an Intervention badge for that
• Google+ Huddle
• The station will run a Google+ Huddle chat during the convention so BSR folks can converse with each other
• To participate you need a Google+ account and a cell phone that supports Google+ Huddle

• As we get closer to the event, we will start publishing an attendee list. Various folks have already booked hotel rooms and gotten their convention memberships.

• This will be held during the Intervention '11 Convention at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Ctr in Rockville, Maryland.
• Rockville is in suburbs Northwest of Washington, DC along the I-270 corridor.
• The hotel is located near the Twinbrook Metrorail Station on the Red Line.

• When is it being held?

• Friday, September 16th 2011 through Sunday, September 18th 2011. This is the third weekend in September.

• Experience has taught us that ANY weekend will likely result in conflicts given the diverse nature of the BSR listening audience. We decided to pick a weekend where we knew where some BSR folks would already be going.

• What will be going on?

• Tentatively there will be a room party, a live broadcast a group meal and an orgy.
• OK, maybe there won't really be an orgy...
• You get the chance to hang out "in real life" with folks you have been chatting with on-line for years.
• Intervention is a great convention and they have plenty of activities as well.

• Do I need to register for Intervention?

• Yes.
• It is the polite thing to do, we are their guests.

• Some events will occur in Intervention's space in the hotel.

• When should I register for Intervention?

• Now would be good, if you can. They are currently offering the initial early bird registration rate. The price will only go up...

• How much will this cost me?

• We do not plan to charge extra for our activities. Obviously things could change.
• We may ask for voluntary donations to help cover some costs.
